“Inside Battle” explores the raw confrontation between the self we show and the self we hide. The two figures represent opposing forces that coexist within one mind — fear and courage, chaos and clarity, decay and rebirth.
Through bold colors, visceral lines, and layered textures, I aimed to translate emotional turbulence into visual form. The X’s and O’s scattered across the canvas symbolize decision-making, conflict, and connection — the endless game of internal dialogue.
The skeletal, almost anatomical depiction of the human form exposes not just the body, but the tangled pathways of emotion and thought beneath the surface. The left side echoes the darkness of memory and pain, while the right side reaches toward understanding and reconstruction.
This piece is not meant to resolve the struggle but to acknowledge it — to show that creation and destruction, like hope and despair, are intertwined parts of being alive.
